John R. Nyland, Managing Partner, Public Sector, IBM Global
Business Services, IBM Corporation
John Nyland is the managing partner of the IBM’s Public Sector Global Business Services.
In his role, Nyland manages the team of 5000 IBM professionals that provide consulting and systems
integration services to the US Federal government, state & local governments, healthcare organizations
and educational institutions in the United States.
Nyland has spent the bulk of his 29 year IBM career in government and Public Sector leadership
positions. Prior to his current assignment, he was general manager of the Public Sector strategic
outsourcing and integrated technology services.

He also held the position of Vice President,
Sales, US Federal and Vice President of Public Sector Sales for the Americas. He began his career
in 1977 in IBM’s Federal Systems Division in Owego, NY.
Nyland is active in the Maryland technology community.
He is currently the chairman of the Board of the Technology Council of Maryland (TCM), a non-profit
organization of over 600 Maryland based companies. He also serves on the board of directors of the
Maryland Business Roundtable for Education, an organization dedicated to strengthening the
connection between the business community and Maryland’s public school system. He has also been a
member of Maryland governor's commission on Advanced Technology development. In addition to his role
as managing partner at IBM, he is also IBM’s Senior Location Executive for the Washington DC area.
Nyland holds a bachelor of arts and a master of business administration degree, both from
Michigan State University. He serves on that university’s Eli Broad School of Business Advisory Board.

Mike Curreri, CEO and President, AVIcode, Inc.
AVIcode, Inc. is the leading provider of enterprise application monitoring tools for the
Microsoft .NET Framework. AVIcode’s products are embedded and separately distributed by both
Microsoft and Quest Software. Prior to founding AVIcode, Mike had gained national recognition as a
pioneer in the development of Internet-based collaborative networking tools. Under his leadership
as CEO/President, his first company, TrialNet, became the nation’s leader in collaborative
networking for the legal community. Mike has brought his experience as a successful technology
entrepreneur, business-team leader, and intellectual property attorney to bear in five successful
businesses from start-up to management to ultimately development and execution of exit strategies.

graduate of George Washington University, and has a B.S. in applied computer applications from the
U.S. Naval Academy. He was highly decorated for his combat service as a Naval Officer and went on
to lead the national litigation law firm of Wright, Robinson, Osthimer, and Tatum before leaving
the practice of law to begin his entrepreneurial ventures.

Patricia J. Mitchell, Vice President Global Sales and Operations,
IBM Global Technology Services, IBM Corporation
Patricia J. Mitchell started her career with IBM in 1974 and has held various sales, management
and executive positions. Ms. Mitchell has been recognized for her business achievement and
community contributions as one of The Daily Record's Maryland Top 100 Women's Circle of
Excellence, as the 2002 Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s Distinguished Woman of the Year, and as
recipient of the President's Medal from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, where she serves as
a member of the Board of Trustees and chaired the Legacy of Leadership Capital Campaign. Ms.
Mitchell is a member of the board of the United Way of Central Maryland and past chair of the
Women’s Leadership Council. She is a member of the board of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center,
the Center Club, and The Family Tree. Ms. Mitchell is a member of the SunTrust Mid-Atlantic
Advisory Board and a member of the Board of Directors of KCI Technologies, Inc where she serves as
chair of the governance committee. Ms. Mitchell holds a degree in education from the College of
Notre Dame of Maryland.
